Control. I saw it weekend before last, absolutely beautiful.
And in the points between the rain outside and you hanging suspended in the air with the room around you spinning you'll find the time if you need it 2500 miles apart and I never saw you clearer we pray for moments like this little sparks little hits from someone elses god how hanging out of 15 storey windows never felt so relaxing bring on the real fun

I haven't been to the cinema in ages. Last thing I saw was Fantastic Four 2 or something...

I watched Thirteen fairly recently and really liked it.

And I can't wait for Sweeney Todd to be released. Anything starring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton is bound to be amazing, especially when it's a musical as well :D

And Helena Bonham-Carter

My friend (he's an actor) has met Tim Burton and Johnny Depp so many times now that they recognise him. *jealous*
He get's to go to all the premieres as well.. bastard! :)

I never go to the cinema but I thought I'd give a few euros away to see Control, I'm a big big Joy Division fan. The film blew me away, I wish I could see it again. Beautiful is probably the best adjective.
Why should you want any other when you're a world within a world?

Looking forward to seeing Control myself.

I watched This Is England on DVD last week. Didn't think I'd like it but I did, gritty British drama, can't beat it.

On the topic of general films...

It's all about Edward Scissorhands. Why? a)Johny Depp b)Tim Burton c)Danny Elfmans soundtrack d) the fact it makes me cry. I don't cry at films.

well, that and Mean Girls...

(Boooo, you whore! :D)

Yes, Edward Scissorhands is a beautiful film. But for me it's all about Little Miss Sunshine and Hot Fuzz.

That's my favourite film ever. The last scene always makes me cry a stupid amount.
And Danny Elfman is incredible, I love him. Sucks that they didn't need him for Sweeney Todd.

Oh I adore Little Miss Sunshine, but my friends didn't really get it ...

My favourite film is Kill Bill: Volume One. I can never get old of it and again, amazing soundtrack too.

Saw a good one last weekend on more4 after my flatmate recommended it, unfortunately i cant remember the name. One day a father comes home and tells his two sons that God has visited him and instructed him to kill demons that are living on Earth, only these so called 'Demons' are actually real people, and while the youngest son blindly believes his father, the older one thinks he’s just gone insane. That ring a bell for anyone? It's got a pretty good twist at the end.

The last film i saw which i thought was truly brilliant was A Life Less Ordinary, very surreal and so funny in places. Last good film a saw in the cinema was The Departed, possibly the only film where the remake is better than the original.

Pan's is amazing! All the stop motion genius rather than all this cgi bollocks!!!

To be honest, i find more films far more stimulation and appealing than most american/british films.
Really love the Beat Takshi/japanese cinema/animee/manga type stuff. Recommend Dolls, if no-ones seen it.

on a film rant...here are some of my fav's...
withnail and i, blue velvet, trees lounge, spirited away, drop dead fred, velvet goldmine, 1991 the year punk broke, rushmoore, wickerman, pan's labyrinth, performance, man who fell to earth, if, ghostworld, billy liar, batman, batman returns, batman begins, the shinning, dog day afternoon, the machinest, afterhours, taxi driver, harvey, wings of desire, spaceballs, star wars trilogy, planet of the apes, alien trilogy, lost in translation, all the Tim Burton stuff (par planet of the apes), Hitchcock, David Lynch, Vincent Gallo, Head, spiderman 1, superman 1-4, Rocky Horror Show, Brighton Rock, the actors, shaun of the dead, Studio Ghibli...blah blah blah blah...!
