I want there to be another election soon. The Henley by election will be dull (Boris Johnson hasn't even said when he's going to quit yet. But don't get me started on that), and the wait until November for the US Elections is too long! _________________ I've finally seen the distance between us,

Hey. My name is Maxime, I'm 15, and I'm living... in France! in a region near Germany and swiss; in Belfort exactly; in this place, a festival is organising every years, in the begining of july, the Eurockéennes ( tp://www.eurockeennes.fr/ ). Music bands like Daft punk, Korn, moby, the Offspring, Marylin Manson, the klaxons have played here. This year, for the 20th birthday of the festival, we'll receive Massive Attack, Moby, and BLOOD RED SHOES(to only quote most known)! I've heard BRS for the first time in a compilation offered by the rock's (French) magasine "les Inrockuptibles" ( http://www.lesinrocks.com/ ), and I don't regret my purchase!
Since, i've heard it's getting boring by the sea all the time, I'm very fan, and I'll buy the album tomorrow; I've forgotten to say that I find Laura Mary (I'm don't sure of her name =S) beautiful and I am in a hurry to see the band in Belfort =]
Here, questions?

Hi all, I am James (see my inventive username). Started listening to BRS about a year or so ago and seen them live for the first ime in Jan. Going to see them again tomoro.
I am another one of those "old enough to know better, young enough to not care" folks. Though I am getting to the point I might be pushing the "young enough not to care" bit
O and it's my birthday this week, so if anyone is at the show tomoro, feel free to sing to me

Erm, that's about it. It's far too complicated to explain why I'm here.
I'm normally the one at gigs complaining about the number of tall people present. |
And I'm probably one of those tall people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyways, hello. I'm Leo. I've been a fan of BRS since early 2007 when I saw them featured in one of those early year "One To Watch" lists. I'm sure you'll read about some of my other band-related stories in the appropriate threads.
I hope people are nice here. Normally, I shy away from forums because I've seen a lot of posts where people just like to be rude and cause trouble. But I'm giving this one a chance simply because it would be nice to interact with fellow BRS fans and possibly make some new friends.
Well, that's it for now. See you on the threads!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. Here is what I'm about.
I'm Irish (If you turn a map of Ireland on it's side it looks like a little dog)
From the age of 13 I started falling in love with one band after another. Nirvana were my first love, Hole, Mudhoney, L7 soon followed. Then I fell head over heels with Queens of the Stone Age. I soon became embroiled in a passionate love affair with them and then somehow ended up listening to PJ Harvey (Desert sessions 10, go buy it!). I could go on and on about the numerous flings I've had since, and now how my heart sings along to Box of Secrets on full volume, how annoyed this makes my flat mates, how I accidently punched a hole in my bedroom wall dancing around to it, how I'm probably not going to get the deposit back on my flat and how "This is not for you" describes so well, and in detail, how I feel about my ex-girlfriend who used to wake me up with her snoring (I miss that). I don't know some albums just mean a lot to me, you know? Like Bloc Party's Silent Alarm, Nirvana's Nevermind, Queens Rated R, Foal's Antidotes and now Blood Red Shoes with Box of Secrets. These albums have somehow captured how I felt at certain times in the last number of years, and like I said, they mean an awful lot. I just hope some, if not all of you feel in some way the same about all this great music. It's bloody brilliant!
I love lasagne.
My favourite place is Russell Square, London.
When I was 4 I fell into a duck pond. When my parents both pulled me out they were laughing histerically. The whole experience has left scars!
Dragonforce? NO NO NO!
Pleased to meet you.

Hello *waves*. |
The Foals are hands down one of the best live bands I've ever seen, and I will admit that Antidotes does seem to lack the energy they pour into their live performances, but it's a good album. I always put it on when I'm doing the washing up.

What about Bleach ? ("Most people don't own it!") I just have a lot of very fond memories attached to Nevermind, that's all. Sure, even my gran likes Nevermind, but whatever, I don't buy into the whole "Hey this guy thinks Nirvana's most commercially successful album is the best, and that's not cool" argument. It's NIRRRRRVANNNNNAAA....with a twist of lemon!

I actually like Bleach a little bit more than Nevermind too. I don't know, I think all the fuss other people made about it put me off a bit. It has some awesome track, but Something In The Way I hate. Actually hate. And there are a couple of others on there which are pretty average. But it's always been In Utero for me.
The thing with Foals is I don't like the album. Everyone says they're amazingly good live, but I feel if I don't like the songs, I wouldn't enjoy them. _________________ Masturbation is better for girls with imagination
