I saw it on wikipedia. Looks insane.

What is it? One bass string with its own pickup... After that I lost it...

Anyone?

My vinyl didn't come today :( I got an e-mail on Saturday saying they'd shipped it as well.

This is the first time I've ordered from Recordstore, it would be typical for it to go bloody wrong.

I got mine on Friday in the post :D That's why I always recommend Banquet on here.

I just looked on the website and it says 1-4 working days from shipping date. I'm comforted, but like the impatient child I am, I want it now :(

It says on Yuri's (or whatever his name is) site that you can buy Springtime in red or blank.

WHERE AND HOW MUCH.

x

Actually, I'd kinda like to play it first. Just to see what it sounds like/how weird/different it is to play. And I'm quite liking his other one, the Moonlander.

It's a normal guitar and then has 12 drone strings which create natural reverb or something.

Either way, they're probably more than I can afford.

if anyone likes, this article has some info on the Springtime:
http://www.modernguitars.com/archives/004429.html
///

and I recall reading somewhere that the guitar only cost about 850€; not sure if I'm correct though
right here's the article, dutch though: http://3voor12.vpro.nl/artikelen/artikel/39632200

That's not too bad (around £675) for a guitar like that.

My new turntable came today so I can listen to vinyl's again, and I've just stuck on Carry Knots, and I feel in love straight away. Keep playing it over and over, it's beautiful.

Indeed, according to the article, they paid 850€ for the guitar. However that's not the be the "normal price" (if more are made)! See quick translation below:

Quote:
Landman is proud on his 'first sell'. The previous mentioned prestige projects [Moodswiger for Liars and the Moondlander for Sonic Youth] were gifts to those bands. For the Springtime [Laura-Mary's one] 850€ is paid. "Okay, that is obvious still next to nothing, but we both profit from each other" The guitarbuilder worked a couple of weeks on the guitar and already has seven similar orders. "I profit from the attention of such projects. Of course I can ask more money, but you will have to be thankfull as well. I want to build a confidenceband, which in the end is more valuable." [dJ: I think that does not spefic means money-wise]

Oh and is anyone's vinyl numbered?

Ditto.

Mine isn't. I didn't order it from the recordstore one, because I can get discount from hmv and it's free delivery. Money's tight atm so a few quid saved helps alot :p
