What was wrong with Pete and the Pirates??

Too many Petes, not enough Pirates.

... of course.

Blood Red Shoes were playing at a bar in Galway called Roisin Dubh's. I live in Waterford which is like five hours drive away. Five hours feel like a bloody lifetime when you've been bundled into a Fiat Cinquecento (coke can with wheels) with four other people who insist on singing The Backstreet Boys entire back catalogue let me tell you! The gig was excellent that night though, danced like a kangaroo with a pogo-stick!

Yes in actual fact it is a bar, but rather like the Fiat I was talking about space is a little scarce. I head butted a bouncer, and almost took out a rack of overly priced Bacardi and cokes because of the lack of it. Still something tells me my unorthodox style of dance may have also played a part. I'd say about 40 people could fit uncomfortably.

Crafty.

I might try that in drag.

I've got the legs.

Why it was the lack of space young squire! In truth, I have a tendency to get carried away when I hear a song I really like. Has a kind of Jeckle and Hide like effect on me you know? The music makes its way from my feet all the way up my spine until it reaches my brain, and before I know it I've nutted about 10 people in the head by accident. When Queens of the Stone Age's "Little Sister" came out I used to go mental. The club I go to is full of these snob types and they wouldn't dance to it, but I never cared. I'd just go from 0-100 and flail my body around in reckless abandon every time it came on, and wouldn't you know, some Libertines fan or something (like clockwork) would dare to set foot on the dance floor and before long get caught up in the proverbial tornado of bodily movement I had created resulting, quite possibly, in serious concussion to his or her poor temple lobes.

Come October 13th, I may well be taking a lift with a complete and utter stranger to Pourtsmouth to see them at the Wedge.

I'm seriously hoping I don't get murdered.

I have to say that sounds quite dodgy. I suppose maybe if the gig isn't til October you could get to know this person or something? I'm confused, I mean how do you organise a lift with a total stanger months in advance?

I just remembered the CRAZIEST thing of all!

I went to a BRS gig even though I knew James would be there. PHOAR. Clearly that shows how much I love BRS.

I'm trying to convince my parents that letting my 16 year old sister go to Oxegen festival (BRS are on the bill) with her friends is irresponsible and that if they buy me a weekend ticket I'll consider babysitting her for the event. I'm not exactly lieing either. Last year a girl got pad locked into a loo and was then tipped over while still in it!

I don't think anyone understood the magnitude of my previous post in this thread. The Barfly was REALLY cold that night.

I got up really early in the morning to go to Hertford for street teaming - if you've ever been to Hertford on a Sunday afternoon you'll understand. But I had two breakfasts that day so it was pretty fantastic :) That's not really that crazy though, to me that's perfectly normal.

I'm now going to do something really mental in order to go to a Blood Red Shoes gig just so I can post something in this thread.
