Second album

Postby Edward on Wed Oct 29, 2008 6:18 pm

I propose to post and comment here everything connected with the second album.
I'll start with an interview I just found. It says:
The release date looks set for June after tour dates till Christmas and studio time in January and February.

The whole thing here:

Any thoughts?

There's been a lack of news lately-no myspace blogs,no posts here...I guess Steven and Laura-Mary are recording (their myspace status last month was ''recording second album'') but it would be nice to keep us informed what's happening with the new record. I hope there's a video studio diary, which we will be able to watch.
Any thougts,you guys,on the second album?...or anything :D

Jesus, give 'em a chance. They're supposedly in the studio January/February, album release in June - I'd have thought they probably won't have a single until May, April if you're lucky. Patience is a virtue.

ALBUM NUMBER TWO UPDATES.... 10/02/09

now we're taking a little break before getting back into our practice space in brighton to finish up writing some more songs and demo everything. we're being really strict with ourselves and making sure everything is 100% in place, we're not one of those bands who go into a studio with some half-baked ideas then pay a producer to convert that into something people might care about. and we also want to make sure that every b-side is not just bullshit filler but actually worthy music.

yup.

so it's shaping up to be a lot more varied than the first album, and no that doesn't mean ballads, it just means it's got more dynamics and light and shade in there. i think we're definitely pushing the darker elements of our sound to the front a bit more too. so far that's all i can say really.

oh and we're starting to really miss playing live.

From the news feed. This made me feel excited.

Hopefully there will be some preview on myspace or something, I'm getting really curious for more new stuff. Even though I'm not so sure they'll release or preview anything beside the three upcoming gigs.

Take your time, hurry up! In all seriousness, I really don't mind when the album comes out. I really like the sound of it being more "light and shade" I really liked "This is not for you" on the last album for that reason, it wasn't just flat out rock or ballady, it was a mixture. I could use a good old BRS gig though. That gig in Galway last summer was unreal ( I remember Laura even having a go at the promoters for charging 15 euros), Bleach playing beforehand, aw it was all win!

It's good that they're trying to make it sound more varied, with more things "happening" in song, not just live sounding album. And I hope they'll also not quit the loudness on this record.

there's no danger of us "quitting the loudness". not for a long time yet.

me again.
i'm kinda confused about where to put this.
but this will do right?

so i saw this on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ptsKEgkfms

and i'm wondering which song this is.
is it 'wheeze' as it was listed here?
only heard it twice, but i think it's an amazing song.
does anybody know if the 'echoing' is on purpose or just bad sound quality or something?
