Today they lost two members: Rose and Becki. They're my favourite band, and I can't see them being anything that special with the new line-up

I'm gutted!

Any other fans?

(vaguely related post to keep it on topic - I met the three of them at Electric Gardens in August {including making Gwenno burst out laughing when I explained my double take as "I didn't think you were allowed out without polka dots on"} and found them all to be lovely girls. It looks like Rose is going solo (she did have her debut solo gig planned for last Sunday but she cancelled a few days before), not sure about Becki, but the announcement did say they'd be taking part in new projects!

There are two new girls called Ani and Anna who have joined. Ani is Gwenno's sister, and Anna is a friend of Ani's. I'm a bit sceptical about how it will work, but only time will tell. (I'm more excited about Rose going solo though if I'm being honest!)

This goes above the lead singer of my favourite band going psycho at his fans on the bad news stakes for today. Gutted. Old Skool fans will know that this means none of the original members left, since Gwenno was a replacement for Julia. Admittedly that was well before most people had heard of them, but i have the single 'School Uniform' which features Julia rather then Gwenno.

This Rosay solo-project sounds good though! If i was honest, most of the reason i ever went to Pipettes gigs was for her

that's a shame, although i didn't personally rate them all that highly on record or live but did have a lot of potential together...

Hmm, i liked them on record a lot, but when i saw them live i was left with the "is that it!?" feeling and that in turn kind of ruined listening to them on record as well for me, this news doesnt bother me.
