I regret not buying the original release of That's Not My Name now - could've made a few pennies towards my 'university fund' on ebay from it!

the album is a bit poor compared to the average but annoying catchy singles, my uni student union loves that's not my name

I've realised I'm actually rather fond of the iPod song they have.

Ashamedly, I went and tried to get into a Ting Tings gig the other night. However, the bouncer didn't take kindly to me trying different names i thought would be on the guestlist and saying 'no, thats not my name...' when i was wrong...

joke completely ripped from No Rock n Roll Fun. Thanks for turning me onto it jimbo

im not a fan of their new single that's for sure.

it just sounds like the pimp my ride song with some poorly fitting lyrics put over the top of it.

Well, you can count me firmly in the camp of people who like them.

This is simply based on me liking the tracks they had on their Myspace back in December 2007, seeing them on the NME Tour and again at The Leadmill. The album...filler in places (NB We Started Nothing and Traffic Light), but the tracks are good live. And Katie has definitely improved on guitar.

I pay no attention to media campaigns or negative publicity. I let my eyes and ears do the judging. And the Ting Tings are alright with me.

Ahahahahaha. I love Facebook updates.

Zachery Stephenson thinks that if you think That's Not My Name is a "great pop song" you are fucking thick.

Now THAT's why nobody can resist Special Needs' charme.

I really like their new single. Although, since when did "indie pop" bands start Sampling music like rappers do :?

I saw them at T4 on the beach.

They were bad.

So bad.

Worse than singles and I thought that would be a stretch to out do that.

So bad.

Presumably they were singing along to a backing tape? I didn't watch it, but that's what normally happens at these things isn't it?

Pretty much.

I bummed around 2nd stage most of the day.

Dirty Pretty Things and Lightspeed Champion were good =]

Feeder were good on mainstage, but probably miming.

the tings tings always have a backing tape, seeing as its two of them and she hardly ever picks up the guitar. well, thats what it looked like on the glasto coverage.
