Past week I have been to Johnny Foreigner/Tellison twicccee, Girls/Swanton Bombs and The Answering Machine.
All were such amazing gigs! Even with the mega fuckups during JoFo's sets.

Next week is going to be boring, it's the first week of me living in Leeds that I've not had at least one gig.
The sky's way bigger than I ever thought it could be.

Rocktober is turning out less eventful than last year, too much other stuff on. but here's what's left:

Weds 21st - Editors @ Hammersmith Odeon
Thurs 22nd - LOS FUCKINGCAMPESINOS!!! @ Joiners, Scum :D :D :D
Tues 27th - dananananaykroyd @ Scala
Weds 28th - Los Campesinos @ RedBull Garage
Sat 31st - Joy Formidable (w/passion pit) @ southampton uni

As you can tell, i'm quite looking forward to seeing LC! after a year

My last gig was a year ago tomorrow, but I should be going to one on Friday, provided James makes up his mind who we're actually seeing

I'm going to see Rose, but I don't mind if you want to see somebody else :) I'm not trying to get rid of you, I'm in favour of the band actually seeing me with other people so they don't think I'm creepy and weird, but I realise she might not be to your tastes.

Amie, I'm impressed you survived an entire year without any gig. I couldn't do this!

I'm seeing Maximo and BRS on Thursday, but then I've officially run out of money and can't afford the train on the 30th to see Bat For Lashes. My heart is broken in so many ways, you have no idea.

I'm waiting on my mum to send my Biffy Clyro tickets down for Sunday night but apparently she sent them on Saturday ... uh oh. I'm not going to Swn either, because there's no way I have enough money for it.

Ok, I'm not going to see Rose tomorrow night, because her guitarist is broken.

Any decent gigs in London going on? Else I'll just go get drunk with Charlie...

Some band called Passion Pit.

I have no idea who they are or if they're actually even worth watching.

I have my reasons.

Passion Pit are great, electro-pop and groovy :)

They can't have been as bad as the support band I watched tonight. It was like they'd aquired a handbook titled 'how to act when you're in an indie band' and followed it to the letter. Their first 2 songs were quite good but then all of a sudden they started churning out poor Arctic Monkey's wannabe songs. Oh dear.

Main band I saw tonight was The Northwstern who were fucking fantastic!

Is this the same Girls as being championed by Los Campesinos!? If so, I saw them when they opened for LC! a while back. True, they aren't terribly energetic, but I thought it was pretty competent stuff. Then again, my friend who accompanied me to the gig did fall asleep during their set....

Seeing these next week....only reason I'm going is because The Joy Formidable are supporting :D .....Listened to the Passion Pit album a couple of times and don't like it to be honest maybe they will be better live.

Yeah I forgot they were supporting. I hope Passion Pit's music isn't dance inducing, the dude I'm going with will dance like an embarrassing uncle at a wedding at any given opportunity. I have to pretend I've bumped into someone I know every time I go the bar to escape, the penny will drop soon, I'm just not that popular.
