Best band from Denmark, they really are!

About time, I know Rob, Petra and Vee are big fans of them, anyone else?

Anyway new album and songs detail, sources are from one of fansite

We have information on No More Stories. Yes, that is the official title of Mew’s fifth album - those who have heard it, call it a MASTERPIECE (we knew that already). The album will be released on August 19th 2009 in Finland (and most likely this is the same date for all of Scandinavia) - it will also be digitally available two days prior (August 17th). But fear not, Mew will release an EP before that. The extended play will be out on July 1st - just before the summer festivals.

The first single from No More Stories is called Repeater Beater and it premieres in Finland on May 29th at YleX-radio channel at 9:10am and it plays exclusively during that whole weekend. This is supposedly the date in other Nordic countries as well. You may buy the single digitally on June 1st.

In addition to Repeater Beater, the EP (released on July 1st) contains one new song from the album, two live-performances and a b-side. The album is produced by Rich Costey who has previously worked with Muse, Glasvegas and Franz Ferdinand among others. Plus - as we know - he is the man behind Mew’s Frengers (2003) as well.

I need to find the way to get YleX-radio work on my computer, anyway good to hear some news from them :hail: :hail:

I agree, Mew is the best band from Denmark... But they are actually not that known here. or that well liked.
I've seen them live seven or eight times now, and they are great. Every time I am amazed how Jonas Bjerre is using his voice live.
Expect me to be in the front row at their shows at Roskilde and Beatday festivals this year.

Snow Brigade is more than a masterpiece.

More news :D :D :D :D

http://pitchfork.com/news/35346-new-mew-album-details-extremely-long-title-crazy-tracklist/

I definitely love the album title, 24th August is too far away though! The following really intrigued me

As if that wasn't crazy enough, the tracklisting features tiny photos of the same circus clown/butterfly shown on the cover as the titles for two tracks. Yes, the track titles are pictures, not words

Also detail about EP tracklisting and release date are on here

look likely they are playing Latitude on Friday as well i think i may go
