I'm trying to make a sort of 'ultimate playlist' to save fannying about with my mp3 player all the time while driving, at the moment it's on Sabotage by the Beastie Boys... nice.

I'm trying to get it as varied as possible so anyone got any suggestions for stuff to include? I'm open to any and all ideas... Smile

I tried making one of these once (not for driving but anyways) and I think it reached something ridiculous like 7 hours and that was one song per band/artist.

Neil Young seems to me like it'd make good good driving music. Give some of his harder rock stuff a go like Rockin' In The Free World and Hey Hey My My (Into The Black).

Thanks, one song per band is what I'm going for too... it's a good rule. I'll try and seek out some Neil Young, I'm not really all too familiar with him though!

If you need any help with it give us a shout. I've got a fair bit of Neil Young now thanks to the insistence of my obsessed housemate.

Control made me cry. I love it so much.

Try and get a hold of the documentary about them as well (simply entitled Joy Division) it's well worth a watch for any fan of the band.

I nearly cried whilst watching it. I thought I would at the end when he starts reciting Twenty Four Hours in the voice over.

I'm listening to Closer now. I'll put Substance on afterwards. I'll have to look out for that documentry.

Jesus And Mary Chain- Psychocandy

This album is retty much perfect. Also, I really can't help but think Glasvegas as a very very watered down version of the JAMC.

They are, really. But then they've said themselves that they're heavily influenced by JAMC. I like them, I just really don't like the hype they're getting, cause there's no way they'll ever be able to meet the ridiculously high standards set for them by the media (and when I say that, I mean NME and Alan "I'm pure dead brilliant at music man" McGee). They were amazing at T in the Park though, the atmosphere was superb.
