Well don't know if it's been done before by anyone else, but here's my personal story relating to the above topic.

Mine was travelling half the country to a place I'd never been to before. I booked tickets for a bunch of gigs that all happened to be in a calendar week, but the Sunday (October 7 2007) was vacant. I knew that BRS were playing at Liverpool's Barfly that night, but wasn't sure if I was able to go. But then I thought "sod it", I'm going (as I would have just spent the night at home wondering about what could have been).

So, after getting home late on the Saturday (having seen The Maccabees at The Leadmill that night), I woke up at the crack of dawn on the Sunday morning to get the first bus out of Worksop to get to Nottingham. After a long wait, I took a train from Nottingham to Liverpool Lime Street Station. Now after eventually finding the hotel I was staying at for the night (I got hopelessly lost after the map I had turned out to be unreliable), I made my way to The Barfly but only after correctly guessing the right direction in which to turn once I reached the city centre.

After enjoying the show, I took the first train out of Liverpool the next morning and went back to Nottingham, where I saw Jack Peñate later on that night. I spent a lot of money just for that one night, but my goodness, it was worth it. Funniest part was when I was there on the front row singing along rather loudly to You Bring Me Down, and the people next to me looking curiously in my direction as if I was nuts.

Well, I hope you enjoyed that story, and I didn't bore you to sleep or anything. If anyone else wants to contribute to this thread, please do...

We missed the first support band just cause we couldn't be bothered walking there for the doors opening. We were still right at the front though, so it's all good.

The craziest thing I have ever done is pay £17.70 for a return on the train to Edinburgh to see them and Make Model at some tiny bar in Edinburgh (Make Model had to pull out at the last minute as well)... never again! :P

Was the Make Model one you're on about Derek the one at the The Hive? That had some crappy Nirvan-a-like support on who started playing the same songs at the end of their set as at the start! Weird.

I had to ask the guy in Copy Haho what their name was cos I couldn't make it out when he said it between songs. It wasn't exactly something you could guess :?

I haven't really got an exciting crazy story, although I suppose I was quite lucky Make Model pulled out of the former of these two gigs, as otherwise I would have missed the last train home :)

Aye! Paper Beats Rock or something they were called. Absolutely awful! I seen the guy from Make Model in the toilet while that first band were on, he busted his head open something awful. Funnily enough, he's now left the band :P I hope they re-record their album before they release it, the one that leaked was very disappointing.

I went to a different country, although I'm not the only person to have done it.

*hangs head in shame*

I made a guy believe he might have a chance with me in case he gets me a ticket, then drives me 2 hours there and back, just to avoid him for the entire night. Oops.

Though not that crazy but staying in the fucking freezing birmingham barfly for long enough that my toes went numb must count for something?

Not that I should complain, gig was ace, got a t-shirt and I discovered Johnny Foreigner.

I haven't done anything crazy, aside from asking some old Indian woman in a biker jacket in Shepherd's Bush where Bush Hall was. That's not even crazy.

I believe that myself and young Oliver are the only two people to attend two BRS gigs in two different countries on the same day.

Shit! I just realised I have done lots of crazy shit

I have been to France to see them
I have been driving 3 hours to see them
I have been strand overnight after I saw them at Purple Turtle (Camden Crawl)
I have been doing allnighter after I saw them at 229
God know how much I have spent just for Steven and LM after seeing them 20 something times!

Oh got on stage and play cowbell does it count?

Wow my list looked as good as my CV

Yay us :)

I got lured by a girl halfway across the country just so she'd have someone to go with.

Pretty much the only reason...

What was wrong with Pete and the Pirates?? I thought they were quite okay, considering I expected them to be utter shit.

URGH. Lovvers were worse than I ever thought they could be.
The lead singer reminded me of Donny Tourette or whatever that twat is called.

Too many Petes, not enough Pirates.
