We've all been to see the band a number of times, and frankly the reason I love them so much is because of the sheer energy of their performance.

My favourite is probably the show we saw at The Lido in Margate earlier this year. There was just such energy at that show and a lot of Steve auctioning off fan's belongings for small values.

Koko was a good show, because there was fire and smashing. But the crowd really weren't moving (possibly traumatised at seeing Beth Ditto naked on the front cover of NME) so Laura had to squirt everyone with a water pistol.

I do agree with you though, there was so much energy at the Margate gig and that was just such a great night.

Damn I should have gone to Koko and got a photographer's pass and been super cool.

Margate was just awesome because of the smuggling karl in and steve having to apologise to the bouncers profusely for calling them middle aged virgins. Hahaha. "I wasn't talking about you! It's the other cunts I meant!" Hahaha. I hope they don't read this board as well, those crazy lurking bouncers.

Hmmm tough choices, basically bar Scala Red Stripes unsigned band show (they admitted they didn't enjoy the show anyway), their performance were exceed excellent.

Their performance at Cambridge Portland Arms was gutsy because Laura-Mary was so ill and they still managed to play 8 songs.

Their show at Zodiacs was amazing as well and they did one song encore (I think it was a cover but can't remember the name of the song), and that was the only time they did encore while I attended.

Like MellowScholar said, Lido was superb, crowd was so up for it, also me and Steve kept chatting about how shit was some recent breakthrough band (The Twang, The Enemy, The View) afterward Laughing good time!

Then Camden Crawl, the one at Earl of Camden was good BUT their secret show at Purple Turtle was just amazing. Everyone was so drunk by then so the crowd was so lively, Steve and Laura-Mary swoop instrument for one song and trust me, Laura-Mary can play drum better than most drummers. Also in the end they thrashed the whole set, smashing guitar and drumkit and they left the stage with so called "a mess". Thats what I called raw and violent so Purple Turtle one is my favourite so far

Enjoyed NME New Music Tour gig at the Coal Exchange in Cardiff.

Ended up seeing the first band, Blood Red shoes and then drunkenly wandering off home with my chum halfway through the night. Got home and everything. Go Me !

it's hard to pick a fave show Smile

Seeing them support Metric in Birmingham was good as at was my first time seeing them live and it was just great seeing what they do

I liked the coventry gig too cos the crowd was small and I got to play Steve's cymbal when he dropped his drumstick and the NME set in Birmingham too because for once the crowd really got into it or the Manchester gig where pretty much everyone left after the Pigeon Detectives and they were both swigging from the whisky bottle, that was just a gig laced with sarcasm and anger and drunkenness hahaha

Snap Smile

I just hope Conic doesn't copy you and list his BRS gigs in his signature, I'm not sure the database is big enough to cope Wink

I've seen them twice at Moles club in Bath, and even though they were better the second time, the first was just such a great night i'll always remember it more fondly.

Surpporting Metric on Halloween 2006 was pretty special for me, also Reading 07 in the Carling tent was amazing, i truely wasn't expecting that reaction, it was a brilliant atmosphere.
